What are we recruiting for?

As a Commercial Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role within the Commercial Business team—managing key customer contracts, driving profitable growth, and ensuring seamless delivery across both civilian and military programmes.

What will you be doing?

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role offering broad exposure across the business. You’ll be responsible for managing “By the Hour” service contracts, leading negotiations, and ensuring contractual and financial performance for key customers.

You’ll also work closely with cross-functional teams—from Sales and Production to Finance and Maintenance—ensuring commercial integrity across every deal.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the execution and close-out of service and support contracts
• Drafting, negotiating, and managing amendments and change orders
• Tracking contract performance, profitability, and compliance
• Managing pricing renewals and ensuring accurate financial reporting
• Identifying commercial risks and developing mitigation strategies
• Supporting wider offers, bids, and commercial projects as required

What will you bring to the party?

• A degree in Business, Engineering, Aerospace Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in commercial or contract management within aerospace or another high-value, complex engineering environment
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate effectively and analyse financial performance
• Exceptional organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong communication and influencing skills

• Understanding of contract law and its practical application
• Experience within aerospace, aviation, or defence sectors
